Born in 1947, Colonel MPOUDI NGOLE Eitel, a retired medical doctor, was one of the pioneers of scientific research in the health services of the Cameroonian Defense Forces. After his retirement, he continued this work at the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation and in other national and international research organizations.
After completing his medical studies, he held various positions of responsibility for the emergence of scientific research. From the Centre de Recherche pour la Santé des Armées (CRESAR) to the Projet de Prévention du SIDA au Cameroun (PRESICA) and the Agence Nationale de Recherches sur le Sida et l'Hépatite Virale (ANRS), he has been able to put his experience and skills to good use.
At a young age, he joined the Defense Forces in 1977 and was appointed to the rank of Captain. During his career, this great doctor did not abandon his love for science. He contributed to the improvement of health in the Cameroonian Defense Forces where he was in charge of the Dermatology and AIDS control services for the Armed Forces and the National Police. Thereafter, he served as Director of the National AIDS Control Program.
